You choose the moment
Right when you activate your account, on a fixed date, a number of days after activation, or at an occasion — and if the date isn't known yet, your loved one opens the message themselves at the right moment. Series can also work: a message on every birthday, until they're grown up.

Your messages are encrypted and visible to no one — not even to us. One to three trusted buddies ensure your account is activated at the right moment, without ever seeing the content.

Can I have a message delivered on a date far in the future?
Yes. You choose the moment yourself: a fixed date (even decades ahead), an occasion like a birthday or wedding day, or delivery after your passing. Series can also work, for example a message on every birthday.
Who can read my messages before they're delivered?
No one. Your messages are encrypted and stored, and only the recipient sees them, only at the chosen moment. Neither your trusted buddies nor Bruidswarenhuis staff can read the content.
What does it cost to prepare messages for later?
You start for free and can create your first messages right away. With Premium you get unlimited messages, video recordings up to 500 MB and extra features like the digital vault.
Can I send a message to multiple people at once?
You create a separate message for each recipient. That may seem cumbersome, but it's intentional: a letter to your daughter is after all a different letter than one to your brother, and everyone receives only what is meant for them.
How long can a video recording be?
Long enough for an extended message, also in high quality. Your storage space is always shown in the sidebar and can be expanded. Video is part of Premium; with Free you record audio.
What if my recipient's email address changes?
You record multiple email addresses and phone numbers per contact and update them whenever you want. Keep them current — the delivery ultimately depends on it.
How it looks in practice
A father records a video the evening before his daughter's wedding, and prepares it for her twenty-fifth wedding day. A mother writes eight letters — one for each birthday between twelve and twenty — and schedules them for the day itself. Someone with a serious diagnosis speaks what he cannot say out loud, and chooses for it to arrive only after his passing.
What those examples share: the moment of writing and the moment of arrival are far apart. That's precisely what a time capsule is for. You don't need to know when the time will come — you can also link a message to an event instead of a date, or fill in the date later.
Your messages remain yours until the very end. You can adjust them, replace them or delete them as long as you live. Only when your account is activated does everything lock in permanently, exactly as you left it.
