Your final wishes, safe and clear

A will at the notary's office states what you leave behind. Bruidswarenhuis keeps it safe and lets you explain in your own words why — so there's never any confusion or discord.

Safely stored, controlled release

Upload your will and record your notary's details. Everything stays locked until you decide — only then do your heirs get access.

Your voice included: the video explanation

Numbers and clauses don't tell the whole story. Record a video or audio explanation where you explain why you made certain choices — in your words, with your warmth. For your heirs, that makes the difference between a document and a message.

Frequently asked questions

Does Bruidswarenhuis replace the notary?

No. You make your will at the notary's office; Bruidswarenhuis stores it safely digitally, records the notary's details and lets you add a personal explanation. That way your heirs know where everything is and why you chose what you chose.

Is a digital copy legally valid?

The legally valid deed remains that of the notary. What you store here is the copy plus the guide to it — exactly what heirs need to quickly reach the original.

Who can view my will?

Only the people you designate, and only at the moment you've chosen. Until then no one can access it — not even a Bruidswarenhuis employee.

Can I change it later?

Yes, as often as you like. If you amend your will at the notary's office, simply replace the copy here and update the details.

When do my heirs get access to my will?

Only at the release moment you decide — for example upon activation of your account after your passing. Until then everything remains locked.

Can I explain why I made certain choices?

Yes. You record a video or audio explanation in your own words. For heirs, that often makes the difference between a cold document and a warm message.

Where heirs get stuck in practice

Most problems after a death don't arise because there's no will, but because no one knows where it is or which notary drew it up. Heirs search through folders and drawers for weeks, while the document has been sitting there neatly all along.

Bruidswarenhuis solves that: you record which notary drew up your will and keep a digital copy with us. When the time comes, your heirs know exactly where to go — without having to search.

What a paper will can't do, you can do here: explain why you chose what you chose. A video explanation of a couple of minutes prevents more conflict than any legal wording ever could. A will arranges the distribution; your voice arranges the understanding.
