P.S. I Love You
Feature · Digital vault

Your most valuable secrets, triple locked

Passwords, documents, a final personal video: some things are too sensitive for a regular folder. The digital vault encrypts everything already in your browser — even we can't access it.

Encrypted before it leaves your device

Everything you put in the vault — text, audio, video, files — is end-to-end encrypted in your own browser, with a passphrase only you know. No one else can access it: no hacker, no employee, no one.

Release with three keys

The recipient you choose only gets access with three factors at once: a code via SMS, a code via email and your physical passphrase — which you might keep at home in an envelope, for example. Maximum certainty that only the right person opens your vault, at the right time.

Frequently asked questions

Can Bruidswarenhuis look into my digital vault?

No. Everything is encrypted in your browser (end-to-end) before it goes to Bruidswarenhuis, with a passphrase only you know. Employees can't see the contents either.

How does my loved one get access to the vault?

With three keys at once: a code via SMS, a code via email and your physical passphrase that you give to the recipient yourself, for example on paper with your will.

What happens if the passphrase is lost?

Then the vault remains locked forever — even for Bruidswarenhuis. That's a deliberate choice: precisely because no one has a back door, the vault is so secure. So keep the phrase in a fixed, safe place.

How do I safely pass on that passphrase?

Outside Bruidswarenhuis, in the real world. On paper with your will, in an envelope at your notary, or to someone you fully trust. Never send it by email or app — then it's still in a place where someone can look over your shoulder.

What can I put in the vault?

Text, documents, photos, audio and video. In practice, it's often passwords, insurance policies, ownership documents, a safe code or a personal message that no one else should see.

How is the vault different from a regular message?

With a regular message, Bruidswarenhuis stores your content encrypted and the system can deliver it at the right time. With the vault, encryption already happens in your browser, with a key we never see. We literally store unreadable data.

What people store in it

The most common are passwords: the master password of a password manager, access to an email account, the PIN of a safe deposit box. Without those keys, loved ones get stuck at virtually every digital door, no matter how well everything else is arranged.

Beyond that: insurance policies, ownership documents, a safe code, or a letter intended for only one person. Some keep a video in it that no one else should see — a conversation with one child, or something that shouldn't be understood for years.

The difference from the rest of Bruidswarenhuis is the key. With the vault, your own browser encrypts the content before anything is sent, with a passphrase that never comes our way. We store ciphertext and nothing else. That's also the flip side: if that phrase is lost, the vault is closed forever. So pass it on outside Bruidswarenhuis — on paper with your will, at your notary, or to someone you fully trust.
